Features: The Hall Crystal Piccolo in "C" Hall's highest-pitched piccolo produces clean, crisp sounds, sweeter and mellower than the silver piccolo. The piccolo is great for small hands, for the fingering holes are smaller and placed closer together than Hall's other flutes. The piccolo, being a higher pitched instrument, requires a tighter embouchure and is slightly more difficult to play than the larger D and G flutes. This beautiful piccolo is handmade by flute maker James Hall, using Pyrex(r) glass. It is hand-decorated with glass enamels, making each piccolo a work of art. Kiln firing at 1050 '°F permanently fuses the decoration to the glass. Each piccolo is carefully hand tuned and shaped with a modern Boehm taper to produce a note range of two and one half octaves.
